FAQ

Who is this for?
who icon

This hands-on training is targeted at teams looking to change their way of working by adopting Agile practices. Product managers, team leads, or program managers interested in exploring how Agile ways of working could benefit their teams use this bootcamp to setup pilot teams in their area or roll-out Agile ways of working for all their teams (if their pilot was successful)

What will people learn?
responsability icon

The Agile Team Bootcamp introduces teams to what is Agile, and how teams can work in an Agile way. This will involve introducing an Agile team-level framework (typically Scrum or Kanban), and then going through the different roles, events, artefacts, practices, and tools teams use in this way of working. Regardless of the team-level framework chosen, this will involve creating team working agreements, creating / refining a product backlog, visual management, roles & responsibilities, and alignment and continuous improvement routines. By the end of the bootcamp, the team will have the necessary knowledge, skills, and setup work done to change to the new way of working.

What is the training format?
board icon

The Agile Team Bootcamp can be done in both in-person and online formats. It can last between 1-4 days (depending on the context and starting point of the team). The bootcamp is a combination of teaching, reviewing case studies / examples, and practicing concepts. Teams will bring in their actual work items, current agreements and artefacts, and will update those during the bootcamp.

Is there any preparation necessary?
DoD icon

Yes. Since the idea is to kick-off a new team, some pre-conditions have to be met. You should have a goal or product in mind for the team, people assigned to the team (ideally full-time, though exceptions exist), a product owner or business lead assigned to the goal and team (and available), and the key stakeholders need to support the kick-off of the Agile team and be willing to learn about their role in this new way of working (which can be covered separately or in the bootcamp, if they can attend at least some parts).

Here's What Our Clients Say

Keith Vorderbruggen

AVP, Agile Coach – CDO, Zurich NA

"Joke is an amazing instructor. The course material was well laid out and as the Agile Coach, it was great to see the a-ha moments with our POs. The lightbulbs kept lighting up as we dove deeper into the material and the hands-on skills sections. This product is very beneficial and I highly recommend this course."

Nabeel Kassim

Global Lead - Inventory, Synchronization & Supply chain Losses, Kraft Heinz

"The Product Owner training was quite insightful and has been valuable in transforming the ways of working within our team. One crucial takeaway from the course was on building the MVP in incremental stages, while keeping the customer needs as the sole compass to guide its development. I highly recommend this course for product owners as well as process improvement professionals."

Eric McIntire

Director of Yield US Operations, Kraft Heinz

"I attended Agilar’s Online Product Owner Certification Training session, and I found the instructor and course material extremely helpful in my journey to learn more about the Agile/Scrum process. The course materials were well balanced between presentation of materials and interaction with others in the session. We were able to move at a very good pace through the material with plenty of time to ask questions for clarity. As someone new to the Agile/Scrum process, I found the course material and the capability of the instructor to be very helpful for me to expand my understanding of this topic. I highly recommend this course to others who are in the early stages of their Agile/Scrum journey."
